Norway - UAE Relations

The bilateral relations between Norway and the UAE are characterised by political, economic and commercial cooperation. Norway and the UAE have a very good relationship. His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon visited the UAE in 2010.

Economic relations between the UAE and Norway have been growing steadily over the past years. There are currently approximately 100 Norwegian companies operating in the UAE with the majority being from the petroleum and maritime industry sectors.

DNV GL is active in a range of sectors, offering advice and assessment services to help clients safeguard life, property, and the environment. In the maritime field, Wilhelmsen Ships Services have a strong presence. The oil and energy company Statoil is also present in the UAE.
